Part of the program of the international chamber music festival Convergence will again be the screening of the film in cooperation with Lumière Cinema. The feature documentary 𝑀𝑢̊𝑗 𝑧̌𝑖𝑣𝑜𝑡 𝑠 𝐵𝑜ℎ𝑢𝑠𝑙𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑚 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢̊ is based on the memoir of the composer's wife Charlotte, who met the artist in 1926 in Paris. The second narrator of the story is Miloš Šafránek, a friend and biographer of Bohuslav Martinů (1890 – 1959). According to director Jakub Sommer, the visually impressive docudrama is "a story of great talent supported by immense hard work, thanks to which Martinů composed so much beautiful and inspiring music. And also a message about the fact that even if you are born into an ordinary family in the tower of a small town, you can one day conquer the whole world." The film combines live action scenes with a documentary approach and shows not only the music, but also the personal life, feelings and attitudes of the composer.
