A spectator hit led by star Ulrich Thomsen, who again portrayed Detective Carl Mørcka. On the island of Bornholm, he and his colleague Rose get involved in the old postponed case of a dead girl found on a tree. The murder, officially described as a traffic accident, is associated with the local police and the local sparkling wine of the sun's worshipers, in which young women have been disappearing without a trace for years. However, both of them look into their dark past in the investigation. Director Christian Madsen increases the ubiquitous tension and preserves the peculiar poetics of the book of Jussi Adler-Olsen. After the rapid succession of shocking events, such as suicide, a colleague Christian, who retired, Carl's younger colleague Rose sets out to address the unexplained tragic death on the lonely island of Bornholm and draws his own traumatic past. The freshly engaged Carl also comes to the island and, along with Rose and Assad, gets involved in the old postponed case of a dead girl found on a tree. The murder, officially described as a traffic accident, is associated with the local police and the local sparkling wine of the sun's worshipers, in which young women have been disappearing without a trace for years. The delayed case will reopen and Carl must be solved as soon as possible, as the island is becoming a very dangerous place. In the investigation, however, he also looks into his dark past, which prevents him from living a happy life with her fiancée. Director Ole Christian Madsen increases the ubiquitous tension and preserves the peculiar poetics of Jussi's adler-Olsen's book.
