About event
The vernissage of the “Multiverse” exhibition brings contemporary positions of visual poetry to Berlin from September 19 to October 17, 2025. In the Oqbo gallery in Berlin-Wedding, the artists show: Inside Natalie Czech, Katia Sophia Ditzler, Gerhild Ebel, Stefan Heuer, Bettina Hutschek, Thorsten Krämer, Frank Milautzcki, Erec Schumacher, Christine Zureich her work of visual poetry.

Visuelle poetry booming and is one of the most exciting and diverse forms of expression of contemporary literature. It sees itself as a field of experimental fields of cooperative and collective work, which its audience focuses on on the Internet - on social media, in blogs, on art portals. The artists: Interior work in dynamic and changing cooperations, organize popup exhibitions and organize their own publication structures, such as indie publishers, art book publications, interest and chapbooks. A dynamic, international artistic scene has developed that works interdisciplinary and cooperative.
The exhibition "Multive - Contemporary Positions of Visual Poetry" brings visual poetry into the analogue to give a stage of its wide range of expression. In the accompanying series of events with readings, performances and conversations, the artists provide an insight into their ways of working and artistic procedures such as Collage, Calligrams, Cut-Up, Décollage, Mail-Art, Object Poetry, Performance Art, Typewriting etc. Hutschek
is the visual artist, filmmaker and curator. She lives and works in Berlin and Malta. After studying art history and philosophy, she completed her artistic training at the University of the Arts in Berlin (near Lothar Baumgarten) and completed as a master student at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art (at Tina Bara). Your work combines video, performance and text and, critically and at the same time, deal with questions of historiography, narration and knowledge production. Hutschek was Visiting Scholar at the Department of Performance Studies of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, worked in art brokerage and as a conference interpreter. In 2013 she founded the Fragmenta Malta project for temporary exhibitions in public space. In 2017, together with Raphael Vella, she curated the Maltese pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia.
Thorsten Krämer
(*1971 in Wuppertal) is the author, design therapist and publisher. After long stays in Cologne and elsewhere, he has lived in his hometown again since 2017. He has published numerous books since 1998, including poetry, prose and poetological essays - most recently the band moments (ELIF 2023). At the same time, he has been operating the Yeh.de self -publisher since 2012, which publishes experimental formats such as zines, videos and acoustic work. Krämer works regularly for radio (including WDR) and wrote features on literature, pop culture and philosophy. Between 2006 and 2016, he also wrote off-texts for over 1000 episodes of various TV formats. His work has been awarded many times, including With the promotional award of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Rolf-Dieter-Brinkmann scholarship of the city of Cologne, a work scholarship from the NRW art foundation and the Cologne Theater Prize (with the Futur3 collective). Many years in the chemical industry, currently as a HSE coordinator for health, security and environment. Since 1996 he has published poems, essays and visual work in numerous anthologies and magazines, including In the yearbook of poetry, accents, poet, place of the eyes and the big Conrady. Finally, the volumes were disparages | A wooden alphabet (2022) and Document_31 (2023, with Armin Steigenberger) in Gutleut Verlag. In addition to the poetry, Milautzcki continuously works essayist (language in the technical age, fixpoetry, poetic criticism.de) and graphically. He has published the handmade magazine since 1996, and he also curated projects such as Lost Voices on Fixpoetry.com. As a designer, he realized portfolios, illustrations and exhibitions, most recently all these papers (ETCETERA PRESS Berlin, 2024).
