We are reviving the traditions of giving thanks to the patroness of music and musicians with the work of a local author of the 18th century. Respect for St. Cecilia has been spreading since her martyrdom in the 3rd century, her patronage over music since the 15th century.
St. So Cecilia in the 15th century. Until then, she was depicted in art sources with a martyr's crown and a cross or a palm branch and a sword. It wasn't until the 15th century that a musical instrument became an attribute of the saint: a portative, a portable organ that she held in her hands, was simply depicted next to her, or she even had it in a smaller form hung around her neck like some kind of jewelry.
Regular lavish celebrations of St. Cecilia. They were always held on November 22 in the coronation church of St. Martin. Pressburger Zeitung also used to inform about their progress. Anton Zimmermann was primarily responsible for their high artistic level as a manager, composer and performer.
