Event by: UdK Berlin Career College
Location: Universität der Künste Berlin Bundesallee, Bundesallee 1-12, Berlin - Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
About event
The part-time certificate course “Music Physiology in Everyday Artistic Life”, led by Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Schmidt and Prof. Dr. André Lee wants to provide comprehensive information about how you can constructively deal with the physical and psychological demands and stresses of intensive music-making. Solutions are developed that you can integrate into your everyday life. Basics and current research findings from the areas of music physiology, musicians' health, music education and didactics are taught. The focus is on the connection to practice. Another important aspect is the intensive exchange of experiences between participants from different professional fields about health risks and sustainable prevention options.
In addition to dealing with current research results, the further training enables an intensive exchange of experiences between participants from different professional fields: musicians, music and singing teachers, psychologists, physiotherapists and other body therapists as well as doctors. Over six weekends, a constructive approach to the physical and psychological demands and stresses of intensive music-making will be taught.
