About event

My Sister Grenadine play minimalist folk with attention to detail. Her music is an encounter with sound and language, near and far, openness and reduction. Free folk, John Cage pop, radical softness.
My Sister Grenadine lives in different places. In areas that are actually songs. It moves between silence and diversity, surface and structure, noise and melody. It tells of shy volcanoes and homeless
cities, of curiosity and solidarity, of combed teeth and colliding landscapes.

Cast:
Vince Kokot – ukulele, guitar, vocals, lyrics
Andreas Neumann – clarinet, bass clarinet, keys, objects, Vocals

Sicilian singer-songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Marta Collica is a main member
of the band of British composer and producer John Parish (Pj Harvey, Eels, Aldous Harding etc.) and
other international music collectives such as Songs with Other Strangers (including the Belgian Stef Kamil
Carlens from DEus, the Australian co-author Hugo Race and the Sicilian songwriter Cesare Basile).
Marta Collica lives in Berlin, where she writes and produces her music.
Her dreamy voice sounds soft and yet powerful at the same time, and she plays the guitar and keyboards and
Percussion with an original style that weaves blues, trip hop and American lo-fi into crepuscular
sound textures - seemingly sensitive, but also somehow distorted - and through their compositions
evoking cinematic and subtly psychedelic atmospheres.

Entry opens at 8.30 p.m Donation basis
