🍄 on mushrooms / misunderstanding for three voices and a theremin 🍄
🧺 The performance is followed by a small mushroom feast
⚡️ Mushroom growing as a "national" phenomenon. Mushrooms and their mycelium, the internet (not only) of the forest as a possible alternative to the internet of machines. Nature in the post-cybernetic age. Internet of mushroom groups, discussions, selfies, videos. Mushroom narcissism, exploitation of nature. A network of "our" passions and addictions. "Our" passion in the middle of a globalized world.
Hallucinogenic mushrooms. Edible, inedible, poisonous mushrooms. Mushrooms delicious and mushrooms disgusting. Mushrooms of all colors and forms. Endangered fungi and extremely non-threatened fungi. Mushrooms as part of the cycle of nutrients in nature, mushrooms as our food and as the eternal inspiration of artists, rioters and dreamers of all kinds. Above all, the reality of climate change, drying up and disappearing forests. And underneath it all, the question: who are we and who are we becoming?
Imaginative author's text, theremin concert, art-theatrical poetic collage focusing on our roots, dreams and surrounding reality.
