About event
The summer podcast scene in the Trojský pivovar presents:
To the East! LIVE
Soon after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Czechs and Czechs began helping Ukrainian refugees, but also people who remained in Ukraine. 4.5 years of constant commuting between the Czech Republic and Ukraine brought countless stories, organizations and individuals who previously had no interest in Eastern Europe got involved in the delivery of aid. The willingness of Czech donors is also developing. What has proven to be key in organizing humanitarian aid over such a long period of time? Whom are the aid supplies for, and what, on the other hand, is unnecessary to send to Ukraine? And what kind of image does this create of the Czech Republic in Ukraine?
Guests: Mikuláš Kroupa from Paměti národa and Ladilav Vrtiš from Pivovar Raven.
