Director: Rafał Matusz
Set design and costumes: Natalia Kołodziej
Music: Paweł Paluch
Translation: Andreas Visser
A solo piece with Karolina Miłkowska
A young woman comes along 30 years later Poland. She returns from a trip she actually didn't want to take and confronts her imagination with Polish reality. A bitter drama about Polishness.
“Nadbagaż / Excess Baggage” is a highly topical production that hits the mark. Finally, Poland is constantly struggling with the problem of emigration, with the departure of successive generations. It used to be an escape from the communist regime, a secret vacation, and then get behind the Iron Curtain. Today it is easier because there is no need for Hamlet-like gestures. One decision is enough - we have had enough of it. (...) It's been a long time since I saw such a perfectly staged monodrama in a theater." Renata Ochwat, echogorzowa.pl
