About event
Together with the Palestinian singer, flutist and composer Nai Barghhouti we play Arab classics from Umm Kulthum and Fairouz. Her own music will also resonate during this concert.
Nai Barghhouti developed a unique sound by combining Arabic music styles with vocal improvisation from jazz, Naistrumentation. Nai sings with many decorations, with her voice as an instrument, the meaning of music in sounds instead of words. In this program, count on Arab classics of UMM KOLHUM and Fairouz, and Barghouti's own songs in arrangements for string orchestra, flute, jazz piano, percussion, bass guitar and qanûn, intertwined with classical and contemporary works for Strijkorkest.
