From India to Italy, across Anatolia and the Middle East, Namritha's music - and her current album Traces and Roots - unfolds the story of her many roots.
Stories of diaspora, cultural mixing and the search for identity interweave in Namritha's own songs - written in Spanish, French, Venetian, Greek and Arabic - with the sounds of Sephardic and Greco-Anatolian Traditions.
Accompanied by Valentina Bellanova on the ney, by Alvise Seggi on the cello and Shingo Ali Masuda on the kanun, a music of dialogue between cultures is created - a sound journey in which each song becomes its own world, a delicate harmony between East and West.
