The two stops of the Motocultor Across Europe Tour 2026 in our region will set off a multi-genre bomb!!

As we all know, there are bands and Bands. Some are perhaps taken too seriously, others are more "down to earth", but then there is also a special category that takes life with humor. That's exactly what the Italians NANOWAR OF STEEL are like with their comedy heavy metal. You couldn't wait for them to show up in our region? That's not a problem either! They'll be stopping at Prague's Futurum Music Bar and Bratislava's Randal at the beginning of next year. You can catch them at their Czech neighbors to enjoy on February 5th, two days later - on February 7th - as part of the Motocultor Across Europe Tour 2026. They will be followed by 4 different groups from the four corners of the world - Mongolian UUHAI, Croatians DEFECTO and French LADY AHNABEL. They were formed in 2003 in Rome under the name Nanowar they added the adjective Of Steel to the name, as a reaction to the change of the band's name to Rhapsody Of Fire. Of Steel deliberately looks as if they just added it by hand in a hurry. Later, they changed the name of the band to NanowaR Of Steel, which in turn is a parody of the legendary Manowar, with which the satirical name of one of Nanowar's albums, Other Bands Play, Nanowar is related. Gay! With their work, which can be defined as comedy heavy metal, these Italians try to humorously lighten the seriousness, which is usually noticeable in power metal bands. And although you might think that they might be insulting one of the satirized performers in this way, it is not the case. Otherwise, Fabio Lione from the aforementioned songs would not have collaborated with them. already a former member). Their official professional career only started in 2019, when they signed a contract with the Napalm Records label. Perhaps that's why Otgonbaatar Damba chose this name for it. In a way, it combines Mongolian folk music with metal. It's something like the Mongols, in whose footsteps they are trying to build on their success, just in a different style.

Uuhai was officially formed in 2020 in Ulaanbaatar, but the group itself was preceded by a four-year long development process of how everything would look like. In 2016, Otgonbaatar got the idea to bring Mongolian rock to the world stage and started working on a unique fusion of Mongolian traditions, which can be seen and heard in their use of musical instruments - Morin Khuur (traditional Mongolian horse-headed violin), Tumur Khuur (a kind of wind instrument), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar) and a special singing technique called Khöömel (it is a type of throat singing and is registered in the UNESCO world cultural heritage).

In addition to the musical expression, Uuhai also complements their performances with costumes in the spirit of Mongolian traditions, which were inspired by the Huunu nation.

The band consists of 8 members who were put together by Damba in 2019 to find them to fit together as much as possible. At that time, Otgonabaatar already had 30 years of experience in the rock metal scene as a composer, producer and musician (for example, he worked in the band Hurd, which has a significantly more western sounding work compared to Uuhai). nominated for the Mongolian National Award.The remaining members eventually became Shinetsog-Geni Dorjnyam (horsehead violinist, throat singer), Zorigoo Battsooj (horsehead violinist, throat singer), Saruul Tsogt -Erdene (clean vocals), Batbayar Dulamsuren (percussionist), Dalaitseren Nasanbuyan (solo guitarist), Anand Naranbaatar (bassist). Gunbayar (drummer). Damba himself fulfills the position of a melodist, leader and producer in the group. He wrote all the songs after the formation. Among their most prominent singles are Beginning, Khar Khulz, Khurai, Uuhai, Khun Sureg and Ser Ser. You could already hear them playing at several European festivals, including the Czech Rock Castle.


From the fun of Nanowar and the Mongolian cultural heritage, we will move to the favorite Slovak destination, Croatia. From there, the band COLD SNAP, which has been roaming the stages of major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Metaldays for some time now, has performed more than 450 concerts in Europe and supported names such as Jinjer, Pro-Pain, and Ektomorf.
