About event
Náoko Kikuchi, a master of Japanese Koto, brings a sound depth to the concert stage that appeals to even the most sensitive listeners. Its interpretation, moving from intimate, almost imperceptible tones to exciting rhythmic surfaces, reflects not only technical virtuosity, but also deep emotional charge. Kikuchi is a pupil of the legendary Sawai Tada and a member of the prestigious Frankfurt ensemble Ensemble Modern, making it a unique link between Japanese musical tradition and contemporary music experiment. Together they will introduce listeners to the New Town Hall, where they will be fascinated by traditional Japanese music with its modern forms. The program will culminate in the hypnotic composition within Dreams, without dreams (in dreams, without dreams) , the work of the world -famous Japanese composer Takashi Yoshimatsua. This masterpiece is renowned for its ability to evoke incredible sound landscapes that immerse the listeners in the mysterious space between dream and reality. 17strunné koto (Czech premiere)
