From the National Theater to Jungmann Square, following the footsteps of the cafes of the First Republic, which were the legendary center of the avant-garde.
During the walk, participants talk about how the cafes started, who joined them he walked He will become familiar with their form, which has evolved over time. They will find that they were not only a place to hang out, but also a place where hard work was done. They served as editorial offices, study rooms, and reading rooms. There was a lot of discussion in them and more than one artistic direction was born in them. Each of the Prague cafes had its own distinctive character and circle of loyal visitors. Some still exist today – Slavia, the National Café, the Louvre. The next one is only a memory, which is the case with the legendary Unionka.
On the way, participants will learn who came up with the idea of making the popular coated sandwiches. They will see the buildings of Osvald Polívka, Oldřich Starý, Pavel Janák and other architects.
