On February 15 you are welcome in our dance oasis in Amsterdam. You can participate in the PLAY GROUND from 7:30 PM. During this hour you can give your imagination free rein on the dance floor under the guidance of Tom Goldhand or Leon Beckx, two fantastic dance teachers. The NATARAJ PARTY starts at 8:30 PM. Until just after midnight you can dance to the wonderful tunes of DJ Iradi.

The Play Ground is open!
Before the Nataraj Party kicks off, we'll dedicate an hour to create a Play Ground – a space and time to explore how moving with awareness can both deepen and expand our dance. Each time we will play with a different theme, for example: How do you move with a partner without losing yourself? What type of awareness nourishes authentic movement? How can we release and enter a trance state?
The Play Ground is guided by Tom or Léon, two experienced movement facilitators who love to help people connect more deeply with their bodies and discover new pathways of moving alone and together. It's all infused with humor and creativity. So, kick off your Nataraj Party with a playful spirit and a grounded body.

WHAT IS NATARAJ
Nataraj is the celebration of the free spirit. Everyone is welcome, whether you come with friends or on your own. The atmosphere is open and new friends are easily made. But nothing is necessary. You can also enjoy the music with your eyes closed all evening.
BARE FEET
We dance barefoot and find this very normal. We don't follow rules except that you respect the freedom of others. Actually that always goes well. The evening usually opens with an inspiring speaker, a concert or a fun workshop.
MUSIC
The DJs play a contemporary mix of unknown but wonderfully danceable tracks. From deep trance via cheerful world music to uplifting house and all this with an occasional touch of disco.
WANT TO GO TO NATARAJ ON YOUR OWN?
Lately we are regularly asked the question whether you can also come to Nataraj 'on your own'. Good question! The answer has been YES for over 20 years. Nataraj is intended as a place to go out alone. The setting is friendly and safe and you can dance all evening by yourself. But it could also be that you come across The Love of your Life or that you suddenly form a small tribe with a club of dancers. Nothing is mandatory and everything is possible as long as it is respectful to others. And above all, everything at your own pace. What we do not do is 'direct' people into contact. So no obligatory eye gazing and hand holding. You decide for yourself who you do this with.
And yes, there are also couples and groups of friends. We really like it too! Especially if people don't stay on their island all evening. What we certainly don't have is a kind of 'in-crowd' that determines the atmosphere. As soon as you put a toe on our dance floor you are in the crowd and when you go home you are completely your own self again.
