About event
Legend has it that OMD's electricity electrons began to dance in his father's car and young man Ian Richard Devaney felt a musical crush: it made no sense to have a group if he did not include a keyboardist who loved the Synth-pop as much as he So Devaney turned away from The Static Jacks, the rock band in which at that time he sang and played the guitar, and in the company of bassist Michael Sue-Poi he started looking for someone who knew how to get retrofuturist shine to a keyboard. Aidan Noell joined, et voilà, Nation of Language had just been born in 2016.
Since then, the techno-pop of this New York trio has not stopped moving forward, paradoxically, looking back: Tubeway Army, New Order, Ultravox and, of course, OMD are present in the music of Nation of Language that they did not live, but that they are now recreating from contemporaneity. Nation of Language will perform on November 26 in Barcelona (Razzmatazz) and on November 27 in Madrid (La Riviera).
