About event
Seminar for children in the 2nd grade of elementary school.
Children spend time online - that's a reality. But do they also understand what is happening in the background?
At the practical seminar, they will learn:
👉 how so-called dark patterns (manipulative elements in applications and games) work,
👉 why it is so difficult to stop scrolling or turn off the game,
👉 what psychological tricks developers use against them,
👉 how to prevent it and have more control over technology,
👉 tips for applications that help keep a healthy digital regime.
📊 Reality from schools?
Children often have no idea why games and networks are so addictive. But this is the key to doing something about it.
The seminar is led by Mgr. Zdeňka Černá from the Slowtech Institute, who has long been dedicated to digital technologies and their impact on children.

👨👩👧 TIP FOR PARENTS: The Children in the Digital Jungle seminar is also taking place at the same time.
While your children will discover how technology works, you will get the tools, how talk at home and set the rules.
The activity is implemented with the financial support of the capital city of Prague.
