About event
Shakespeare's bitter comedy Measure for Measure is primarily a game of abuse of power. The main character of the game is Prince Vincentio, the ruler of Vienna, in which for fourteen years, despite the strict laws, all kinds of vices have been beat. How does it solve the situation? He pretends to depart and secretly observes how the authorized representative in office is doing. Can he establish order? Can he resist the temptation to build himself above the law? How will other characters behave? This game mobilizes the sense of justice and raises burning questions that are still up -to -date and touch the fundamental themes of human existence: morality, lust, hypocrisy, corruption and power. Even the amicable end of the game is the result of refined intrigue.
