About event
We invite you to another regular concert at Tina Teahouse, in the middle of Letenské Sady, this time presented by...
Prune & Chris Beach
PRUNE is the project of singer and songwriter Lucie Krpalová. In 2016, her debut album Kruhy v aránizés by Martin Kyšperský (band Květy) was released, a record on the border between folk and pop colored by fine electronics and enriched by a number of domestic guests. The circles gathered positive reviews and brought Prune among the 50 hopefuls of Czech music by Headliner magazine.
Warm meetings with friends, partner closeness, desire, peace and security. That's how you could describe the emotional floor plan on which the new album Fire (2024) was created. The songs are connected by the themes of the elements and the seasons. They take place in autumn and winter. In the background, the intention was to record an intimate and warm album, a companion for cold and dry days. Produced by Swedish multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Christoffer Strandh, the album reflects a love of acoustic pop and imperfections.
From 2023, Prune performs in a duo with Christoffer Strandh (bass, trumpet), and in the summer of 2025, the band expanded to include drummer Hynk Čejka, guitarist Martin Lauer and brass player Radim Hanousek. Prune's live performances are characterized by a distinctive voice, strong lyrics, playfulness and dreamscapes, maintaining freedom, naturalness, modesty and hope. As a vocalist, she appears on the records of Martina Trchová, Martin Kyšperský, Květů, Zapomělsem, Archivné Chlapce, Jan Burian, Boudoár staré damá or Elka.
