On Sunday, August 31, 2025, Paradiso celebrates the release of the release of the LP with the Nederpunk Festival:
'Nederpunk the Early Years 1977-1982'. Plus the publication of the radically renewed and extensive book:
'The Paradiso punk years part 1: 1976 pre-Punk, 1977 De Big Bang' by Oscar Smit.
On the podium old and new punk bands: Suzannes, Waterschade, Bugs, Schmucks 44, Flyin'Spiderz, The Protos, an still unknown band and Eton Crop. DJ: WAP SHOO WAP Crew!
In the Netherlands there is again a lot of interest in its own punk tradition. New punk bands now appear from everywhere. A number of them will play alternated tonight with old bands. This is to show where the roots of the Nederpunk are.
There are 20 Nederpunk bands on the LP, 18 of which once played in Paradiso, you can also read about those bands in the 'De Paradiso punk years' series. The LP is therefore a soundtrack for the book series. With Panic, Workmates, Paul Tornado, Dummies, Rondos, Flyin 'Spiderz, Bugs, Ketchup, Eton Crop, Cheap' n 'n' n 'nasty
In the total revised and more extensive, more colorful version of the first part you can read about the rise of Punkiso. With attention to pubrock, sex pistols, legendary concerts such as those of Blondie of the Stranglers and the first Nederpunk bands.
