About event
We invite you to a special program with the theme of Nefotografie, which we have prepared as part of the nationwide event Night of Theaters and the Month of Photography festival.
19.30 – 20.00 Presentation of the book Nefotografie
Book Non-photographs are the texts of 55 Slovak photographers whom Mária Piatriková addressed with the question: "Which of your uncaptured photographs do you still remember?" The collection contains a wide range of answers that allow us to look not only at the work of the authors, but also at the medium of photography in a new way and has been performed 20 times so far.The book therefore also includes an interview between photographer Veronika M. Markovičová and director Mária Piatriková about the staging of Nefotografia and it is supplemented by several shots of Stanislav Piatriko, who documented the creative process. The foreword to the book was written by the Czech photographer, curator, art historian and publisher Tomáš Pospěch.
The Nefotografie book will be available for purchase on the spot.
20.00 – 21.00 Nefotografie/Performance with texts and smartphones
Performance works with the texts of 55 Slovak photographers and photographs that they wrote for the production and book of Theater K. The recording of texts and their fragments is layered with the playback of audio recordings, using minimal means: paper, body and smartphone. A performative action arises from a single word and grows up to an experimental sound composition.
Entry is free.
It is possible to come and go at any time during the program.
The event is part of the Night of Theaters and the Meiac fotografie festival.
