About event
The future of the Green Deal, aid to Ukraine and the issue of leadership in the EU - all of this depends on the outcome of next year's elections in Germany. The opposition Christian Democrats are leading in the polls, but the current chancellor and leader of the Social Democrats, Olaf Scholz, believes that the situation can turn around again at the last minute, as in 2021.
What reality can be expected after next year's February elections? What kind of chancellor would CDU leader Friedrich Merz be, and would a grand coalition of CDU-CSU and SPD work better than the expiring traffic light government?
Jakub Eberle, an analyst at the Prague Institute of International Relations, will offer answers in an interview with Eva Mihočková, editor-in-chief of the Foreign Policy portal. You can follow the event on Facebook SFPA, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Zastúpenie v Slovenská republika and Sme on Tuesday 3 December at 1:00 p.m.
The discussion is organized by SFPA and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, in cooperation with PEVŠ and the media partner newspaper SME.
