About event
The Headmovers group will make your heads move with neo-soul. Enjoy music that's like ice-cold orange juice after a monkey. You'll get caught up in their lyrics just like a fly in a spider's web.
The band mixes groove, soul and modern club sound in the line-up:
Dominika Zdražilová – vocals
Filip Regina – drums
Tomáš Regina – piano
Jakub Kolesár – bass guitar
Matej Buček – guitar
Stanko Baranec – saxophone
Headmovers Movei already impressed with their debut album Ahead (produced by Eugen Vizváry), which brought them nominations at the Radio_Head Awards in the Discovery of the Year and Debut categories. They also won the award for best studio performance in the Jazz Start Up competition. Their concert history includes club performances, domestic festivals and foreign mini-tours in Belgium.
The second album Move Forward was created with the support of FPU and brought a matured sound with guitar and saxophone. Their songs are in the regular rotation of Radio_FM. Currently, in addition to concerts, they are also working on the preparation of a new EP with an emphasis on live sound, strong rhythms and the connection of Slovak texts with neo-soul music.
The group's recent success is winning the Young Talent Stage competition organized by the Bratislava Jazz Days. The group will thus open the main stage at Jazzáké in 2026!
