Mineral: Another world is possible! | Lecture
📍22. August 10:00-11:30 | Tabačka, Fabrik
🌱 The pulse of the community is not created by reproducing established social, political and economic expectations. It arises from individual relationships, care and mutual support. The impetus for change often comes from people who can imagine the world differently.
🌈 Queer communities have been doing this for decades - creating new forms of coexistence, self-definition, solidarity and joy even in times when society denies them safety and recognition. This is where our experience and the concept of degrowth are close allies: they invite us to think about how to live differently, in harmony and sustainably.
That is also why we are very glad that the _Nerast_ collective accepted the invitation to join us.
_Nerast_ brings to Slovakia the socio-ecological concept Degrowth (EN) – Décroissance (FR), which critically questions endless economic growth on a planet with limited resources. resources. Degrowth points out that today's economic system systematically exceeds ecological limits and at the same time deepens social inequalities. Nerast proposes the transformation of the economy towards a system in which human needs, dignified life and consideration for the environment are paramount. Anna and Ema from the Nerast collective will recreate this concept for you in more detail. During the lecture, you will also be able to view and borrow literature on this topic.
We look forward to seeing you! 🫶
