The world is in danger... and the only ones who can save it are puppets with zero facial expressions and the maximum cadence of dirty songs. Team America is a total blast from the creators of South Park, which takes everything - action blockbusters, politics and celebrity activism - and leaves no stone unturned (in some scenes... ahem... literally).
Instead of heroic speeches, there are absurd musical numbers, instead of realistic action wooden gunfights and instead of gentle satire a blow with a hammer right between the eyes. This movie doesn't hold back, doesn't slow down, and rides on the edge of taste all the time - and that's exactly why it works.

Team America – World Cop
The first action puppet film by the famous creators of the SOUTH PARK series, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Shot with puppets the size of garden gnomes, the film is full of explosions and street fights. Team America, an international police formation whose mission is to protect global stability, discovers that a powerful dictator is supplying terrorists with weapons of mass destruction. The heroes therefore embark on a mission to intimidate the enemies and save the world. Team America hires an up-and-coming Broadway actor to infiltrate a terrorist network. Gary Johnstone, as the hero is called, at first hesitates to sacrifice his acting career, but eventually realizes that it is his moral duty to put his talent at the service of higher goals. With the help of leader Spottswood and the other Team America members Chris, Sara, Linda and Joe, Gary sneaks into the hideout of the arms dealers, where he discovers that a terrorist plot is already escalating. On a dangerous mission to save the globe, Team America crosses the world from the Egyptian pyramids to the Panama Canal and to the palace of the mad but even more dangerous dictator Kim-Jong II.
