About event
From August 28th in the cinema: We All Bleed Red - Documentary by Josephine Links.
Martin Schoeller already had US presidents, Hollywood stars and sporting tons in front of his camera. In his private photo series, however, the star photographer focuses on those parts of the US company that are not in the light of the public-on homeless, former detained, drag queens or native Americans. Schoeller has been living in the United States for thirty years and knows the extreme of a country that threatens to tear apart politically and socially. With a mobile photo setup, he creates an intimate space in which people tell him about their realities of life. The photographer becomes a prejudice -free listener - and for the time of the portrait to be close confidants.
Josephine Links accompanies Martin Schoeller with his personal photo projects and not only shows a worldwide celebrated photographer at work, but also opens up insights into various worlds that tell of the breaking points of American society. The film thus transports the deeply humanistic knowledge that Martin Schoeller has been trying to convey with his work for decades and is expressed in the film through the words of a native American: "We All Bleed Red". href = "www.tilsiter-lichtspiele.de/kino"> www.tilsiter-ichtspiele.de/kino
