I DON'T SEE IT ROSE_LUCIA FABOVÁ.
Painter and visual artist Lucia Fabová was born in Trenčín (1985). She studied at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, at the Accademia di Belle Arti Lecce (in Italy), and at the Universitdad de Valencia (in Spain - study-work placement).
V her work has long been devoted to abstract painting and the exploration of man as a living liquid matter and the changing relationships between color, movement and shape.
The exhibition I CAN'T SEE IT ROSE follows on from her three-year research project Year of the Snake, where she presents a series of abstract paintings in which Fabová currently develops the motifs of organic shapes, the symbolism of snakes and jellyfish, which are constantly changing, merging and forming again. In her paintings, there is a movement forward, an endless flow of energy, which draws the viewer into a visual game between order and chaos. By layering and moving shapes, the author creates tension between reality and fantasy, between conscious and subconscious images. Abstract surfaces and lines turn into symbols of life, transformation and elusive beauty.
The title of the exhibition I DON'T SEE ROSE is balancing on the edge between optimism and negation. It represents a play on words in which optimism is both denied and confirmed, and in the context of the exhibition it takes on the visual form of muted, monochromatic colors. Her paintings act as visual currents – rhythmic, organic and constantly changing. The viewer becomes a part of this movement and gradually discovers layers of meanings that are not visible at first glance.
