New Candys (IT) / Café V lese

Thanks to the dark rock'n'roll ethos and significant melodic distortion, New Candys have established themselves as one of the most convincing bands that have appeared in Italy in recent years. It was founded by a songwriter and singer and guitarist Fernando Nuti together with a bassist and a player on the synthesizers Dario Lucchesi, the line -up is complemented by Emanuele Zanardo on a solo guitar and accompanying vocals and Francesco Giacomin on drums and sampler. Club, is recognized for its unfiltered artistic approach and versatility, in which the aggressive, rough sound with dreamy, introspective tones mixes smoothly. The symbolism of their native city of Venezia often permeates their music, which explores surrealistic and sometimes cryptic themes. They performed on one stage with such icons such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Dandy Warhols and The Black Angels, at historical places such as Olympia Hall, London The Roundhouse or Berlin Huxleys Neue Welt. Iggy Pop described them as "perverse" and their songs were heard in the episodes of the original Showtime Shameless Station.
