About event
📸 New Faces: Dirty Frame Portrait Meet
Location: Beast Daylight Studio, Portland, OR
Date: Sunday, January 4th
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM
Open to: Photographer signups only
Hosted by: Capture Collective PNW
Step into a creative playground of natural light, texture, and raw composition. New Faces: Dirty Frame will introduce five models who are brand-new to our community, hand-selected by the Capture Collective crew.
This meet takes place at Beast Daylight Studio, known for its open industrial layout and dramatic daylight. Huge garage-style doors flood the space with soft, directional light, casting rich shadows and contrast that shift as the afternoon progresses. The theme, Dirty Frame, leans into editorial grit. Framed perspectives, imperfect edges, blocked angles, and composition that feels raw rather than polished.
To elevate the visual experimentation, we’ll have multiple paper backdrops staged throughout the studio, allowing photographers to work with layered setups and intentionally “dirty” the frame with props, edges, and atmospheric elements. Think: frames within frames, partial obstructions, and cinematic perspective.
🖥️ Partnered With Pro Photo Supply
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Pro Photo Supply.
They will be providing lighting and camera gear available to borrow on-site during the meet, giving photographers the opportunity to test equipment, try new lighting configurations, and level up their creative approach. Their team will help ensure gear is set up safely and used properly throughout the event.
What to Expect
5 new, never-before-featured models
Daylight-driven editorial setups through garage-style doors
Multiple paper backdrops staged around the studio
Opportunity to borrow lighting + camera gear courtesy of Pro Photo Supply
A collaborative creative environment focused on growth and experimentation
Photographers of all levels welcome (no prior meet experience required)
If you’re looking to connect with fresh modeling talent, build gritty editorial-style portfolio work, and experiment with composition beyond “clean frame” portraiture, this session is for you.
Photographer slots are limited.
Secure your spot and join us for the first New Faces meet of the year.
