CBM 8032 AV is a journey into the beauty of abstract graphics and sound, created with five iconic personal computers from the 1980s. The work explores the ambivalence between contemporary aesthetics and the use of outdated technology. When artists began to explore computers as a medium in the 1950s, the limits of technology forced a minimalist creative approach. Half a century later, looking at the green screen of the cathode ray display – once a symbol of an exciting future – becomes a source of nostalgia, but also of innovation.
The immersive audiovisual performance CBM 8032 AV uses five Commodore CBM 8032 computers. with a frequency of 1 MHz and a total memory of 32 kB (today's smartphones and laptops are up to a thousand times more powerful). These machines were never intended for the creation of audiovisual art, so the results appear slow, rough, geometric, low-resolution and exclusively in monochromatic green. Despite, or precisely because of this, they radiate a unique rhythm and visual appeal. The sonic spectrum includes digital noises, deep coarse sine waves, isolated clicks and glitchy percussion - all metered and interspersed with quiet or even completely silent moments, further processed and enhanced by 80s studio electronics.

Robert Henke is an artist and tool maker. For him, code and hardware are both a source of inspiration and a necessity. Henke's works cover a wide spectrum - from musical compositions and concerts to large-scale audiovisual installations. In their creation, he relies on technology, which often requires him to invent and construct his own instruments and program his own algorithms.

His music draws inspiration from the raw, repetitive energy of techno as well as from the sophisticated structures and textures of more abstract contemporary works. Henke's visual works stand on the legacy of minimalist art and early computer graphic pioneers. He is also one of the main creators of Ableton Live software. His installations, performances and concerts have been presented in prestigious galleries such as Tate Modern in London, Center Pompidou in Paris or MoMA PS1 in New York. The CBM 8032 AV project won the award for Best Production at the 67th International Festival of Contemporary Music La Biennale di Venezia in 2023.

The Basque accordionist and recent graduate of the Musikene Academy is unusual a phenomenon on the scene of contemporary music. Despite her young age, she participated in a number of projects (for example, she played with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra) and received many awards. He regularly collaborates with artists from various disciplines on projects with dance, poetry, theater or art installations, independently and with various groups, he deals with the close relationship between the contemporary experimental scene and traditional music, but at the same time significantly enriches the sound positions of his instrument. In his current solo project, he will present compositions composed together with Miguel A. García.
