Next Up Winter Ball: A Celestial Soiree

Join us for a night among the stars—right here on Earth.

Imagine a cosmic dreamscape where the outside world seems to disappear for an evening... A place where anything feels possible—where joy is the priority, and community is abundant. ✨

Enter our Celestial Soiree… 🌠💫🪐

On November 20th, Next Up’s iconic annual Winter Ball returns, and this time, it’s at a whole new venue. Get lost among the stars at AVENUE Portland—where cutting edge immersive video projection will transport you to the moon and back.

We'll have:

• DJ Zyah Belle 🪩 and a special performance performance piece from Passa Flora titled "The Gravity of Grace". 🕺
• Queen-of-making-CNN-anchors-laugh herself, Portland City Council member Angelita Morillo as our guest speaker for the evening.
• Food from matta (yum! <3) for our VIP guests; plus snacks, treats and galactic, glittery drinks for all! 🥂
• Oh, and a custom photo booth 📸 for serving otherworldly 🛸 looks.

Speaking of looks… Need some outfit inspo? We’ve got ya covered.

Think: ethereal, whimsical, astrological, whimsical, magical… 🪄🔮🌛 That means glitter, sequins, celestial prints, gold, navy blue, black, witchy fits… Look up to the night sky and let it inspire you 🌌

Join us as we gather in community to celebrate the power of young people today, and our vision for tomorrow. 🌟

🤍 Every ticket sale supports Next Up, a nonpartisan nonprofit that amplifies the voice and leadership of diverse young people to achieve a more just and equitable Oregon.
