On Saturday, October 12, 2024, it will be two years since the terrorist attack directed against LGBTI+ people in front of the Tepláreň bar, in which Matúš Horváth and Juraj Vankulič were murdered in cold blood and Radka Trokšiarová was shot. Matúš Horváth was a student of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Comenius University in Bratislava.
The Faculty of Philosophy of the Comenius University in Bratislava condemns the act of the attacker and rejects ideologies based on hatred towards others. In cooperation with the student association LIGHT*, we are therefore organizing a memorial service on Monday, October 14, 2024. In the premises of the atrium of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Comenius University at Gondova street no. 2 you will be able to honor their memory with their exhibited photos from the morning. Short speeches and poems will be heard at 4:00 p.m.
Matúš and Juraj will also be remembered by the faculty with a banner with the inscription "WE WILL NOT FORGET", which will be placed on the Faculty of Arts building of the Charles University from October 11 to 14, 2024.
