MÚR | NOVEMBER 16 AT 3:30 PM
Interactive workshop by EDUdrama.
Experience what it was like to live in times when freedom was not a given. The Wall is not just a theater - it's an experience where you find yourself right in the middle of the stories of people who had to choose between truth, fear and courage every day.
Bring your teenagers, friends, parents or come alone. EDUdrama draws you into the plot so that you don't just watch history, but experience it for a while.
Together we will travel to Czechoslovakia before 1989, among families, schools and children who lived in the shadow of unfreedom. We will compare how life was before and after the revolution - and what freedom means to us today.
Suitable for children from 8 years old
Program length 75 minutes
Entrance fee: 5 Euro

STORIES OF THE WALLS | NOVEMBER 16 AT 5 PM
Bratislava Puppet Theater's family production about walls between people.
Walls, walls, fences. Big - visible, small - inconspicuous, but also those that are not visible at all, but we keep bumping into them. We'll tell you stories about the walls that block our view, as well as the ones we mentally build between us. Some protect us, others limit us. But can we recognize them?
Puppet production for the whole family about fear, overcoming it and the desire for understanding. The production was created on the basis of short stories from the anthology Stories of the Walls by Michael Reynolds.
The Fund for the Support of Art was supported from public sources.
Suitable for children from 9 years old
Performance length 60 minutes
Entrance fee: 9 Euro

REGISTERED ASSOCIATION OF SLOVAK AND CZECH PUPPET MAKERS INTRODUCED BY: THE ROBBER AND GAŠPARKO | NOVEMBER 17 AT 4:30 PM
Co-production project of the Bratislava Puppet Theater with the Czech Drak Theater on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the breakup of Czechoslovakia.
Czechoslovakia broke up 30 years ago. However, the demise of the common state did not mean the end of the closeness of the two nations, on the contrary. When crossing the state border, we do not feel like a foreigner and we like to call the Czechs our brothers. From a warm friendly relationship, an exceptional co-production production was born in cooperation with the Drak z Hradec Králové theater.
Czech and Slovak actors meet on stage with the aim of creating a true and unadulterated, original Czech-Slovak production. But where to start? Who represents our specific national natures and how to combine them into one whole? The brave Jánošík for the Slovak side and the talkative Gašparko for the Czech side come to the rescue. The combination of two inseparable natures leads to experiences in the Slovak high mountains and in romantic Czech groves. But where is the whole story going? And does it meet the expectations and ideas of one or the other party?
The puppet-drama production is a metaphor for living in one unit. Can we make compromises for the sake of common goals? But what are we really like? And how do we perceive others? And is there even such a thing as a national character?
The Fund for the Support of Art was supported from public resources.
Suitable for children from 10 years old
Performance length 70 minutes
Admission: FREE

EXHIBITION OF STUDENTS OF SCHOOLS OF ISTRIAN SCHOOLS | 16.-17. NOVEMBER
What does freedom look like through children's eyes? Pupils of the Basic Art School Istrijská are looking for an answer with colors, shapes and the courage to express their opinion. They processed the theme of freedom and democracy in their own way - through fantasy, discussions and documents that brought them closer to a time they had not experienced themselves.
Their works are varied, expressive and full of contrasts. The younger ones played with colors and symbols, the older ones added their own messages in the form of slogans. Each of them offers their own perspective on what it means to be free for them.
The exhibition brings together the works of children aged 7 to 17 who attend the Basic Art School of the Istrijská School of Arts in Devínská Nová Ves.
Curator, installation, processing: Miriam Horňáková
The exhibition will open on November 16 at 16.45.
Admission: FREE
