WARNING!!! Due to capacity reasons, the main part of the program will take place in the premises of the Restaurant Capitol in the Jumbo center! We start the opening block in the courtyard of TABAČKA at 20:00.
Košice also joins the initiative "November 17th for the People", a series of events symbolically linked to the Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy. Together we will remember the legacy of the Gentle Revolution, gently, singing, dancing and together. Let's show that we are here and that we are not indifferent. Gentle dance house will bring an evening full of music, singing and dancing from various corners of eastern Slovakia. Part of the program will be dance and singing workshops, where we will learn to sing and dance, gently, but so that we can all be heard. The event is being prepared by the Folklore Lovers Club, folklorists from Košice ensembles and groups in cooperation with Tabačka Kulturfabrik, because we believe that the celebration of November 17 is an ideal opportunity for people to come together. Connecting traditional culture with the present, connecting diverse audience groups, connecting the memorial of the Gentle Revolution with the student body, which remembers the past.
Entrance to the event is free and the doors are open to regular visitors of the Dance Houses as well as to those who want to penetrate its atmosphere for the first time.
