About event
What if it was Christmas every night?
Aunt Milla doesn't let the horrors of the Second World War stop her from finally celebrating an untroubled Christmas again in 1945. When her beloved Christmas tree is about to be decorated and removed in the new year, she suddenly suffers a nervous breakdown. Doctors are consulted without success until Uncle Franz finally finds the solution: he prescribes “Christmas tree therapy” for his wife. From now on, Christmas Eve is celebrated every evening - winter and summer, with all the trimmings and with the whole family....
In “Not Just at Christmas Time” (1952), Heinrich Böll satirically satirizes the German post-war mentality and irrefutable Christmas routine.
Actor Dietmar Bär plays the humorous narrator, while the classical drummer and sound artist Stefan Weinzierl uses his unusual instruments to play typical and atypical Christmas melodies.
Tickets: 37.65 / 43.25 / 50.25 EUR incl. advance booking fees
