About event
The association of parents and friends of LGBT+ people invites you to a discussion about the book "Something I want to tell you", which reveals 15 authentic stories on this topic.
Have you ever wondered what parents go through when a queer child confides in them? What can be their journey from initial surprise to clear support? What are the reactions of siblings, grandparents or close friends? Come and listen to people's real stories and talk to them.
ZRP LGBT+ people is a young civil association uniting more than 380 parents and loved ones of queer people. It was created in 2020 as a reaction of parents to the unfavorable situation of LGBT+ people in Slovakia. They try to support each other, help parents of children in the process of accepting a new situation by sharing their own experiences. Their goal is to support each other, share experiences and try to contribute to changing the perspective of society through the personal stories they wrote in this book.
We look forward to seeing you!
