Come and join us for a night of traditional Irish ballads, rebel songs and tunes at the Grey Dog! Reporting for duty will be the low and high whistles, banjo, bodhran, guitar, bouzouki, fiddle, pipes, and last, but by no mean least, our handsome heligonka player.
We will drink , sing and play for 3 hours - damning politicians, tyrants and kings for their stupid wars and celebrate the joy and spirit of freedom found in Irish music.
Our job is to bring the start-of-the weekend-craic and you can bring yer dancing shoes and a devil may care attitude to the week of wage slavery just past!
We will try out a new song we have been working on - a cover of the Pogues Young Ned of the Hill - a blinding rebel tune! The Pogues of course make it look easy but for us it's a work in progress with a way to go. But once the Guinness flows and the beat kicks in it will be grand!
Up with the starry plough, down with all crowns and see you there for some real Irish music in Prague!
