About event
Nika is one of the most outstanding young authors of the contemporary Czech music scene. In his work, he combines jazz, pop, folk and alternative into a raw and emotional sound based on strong lyrics and a unique atmosphere. After her debut "Flesh & Soul" (2022), awarded the Jantar Award and success in the JazzFruit competition, she performed at festivals such as Colors of Ostrava, Smetanova Litomyšl or Prague Sounds, but also in France and Germany.
The second album "Elsewhere" (2025), shortlisted for the Anděl Awards and awarded the Jantar Award, brings a mature authorial expression and daring musical experiments. In her compositions, Nika opens up the themes of alienation, manipulation, the search for self-worth and reconciliation after internal storms. Her music oscillates between melancholy and urgency, acting as an intensely personal statement resonating with the uncertainty of today. She is accompanied on stage by drummer Jonáš Bjolek, pianist Pavel Duda and bassist Nicolas Gatto.
