Nikolaj Nikitin Quartet

Saxophonist and composer Nikolaj Nikitin is one of the outstanding personalities of the Slovak jazz scene. In his quartet, he combines experience with the fresh energy of the young generation of musicians. The ensemble's repertoire consists of a selection of original works, jazz standards and timeless bossa novas, which the band interprets with an emphasis on improvisation and individual expression.

Ján Rigó Jr., a young talented musician with a sense of harmony and rhythm, completes it on the piano. Matej Štubniak on the double bass brings a solid foundation and subtle musicality, and Jakub Turác on the percussion instruments organically connects the whole sound of the quartet and moves it forward.

The music of the quartet will appeal not only to jazz listeners, but also to everyone who likes music full of emotions, elegance and lively communication between musicians.
