About event
On Thursday, November 14, the christening of Nina Kohout's album Gentle Autopsy will take place in Nova Cvernovka.
Singer, composer and producer Nina Kohout has studying at the prestigious London music school The Brit School, where Adele and Amy Winehouse also worked. In 2020, she won the title Discovery of the Year at the Radio Head Awards and in early 2022, she released her debut EP Pandemonium, which was met with excellent responses not only from domestic , but also foreign media, including the British BBC radio. Moonlight, one of the songs on Nina's EP, was marked as Song Of The Day by the American KEXP radio.
Since 2023, the young artist has presented three songs from of the expected debut album, which will be released on October 24, 2024 under the banner of Deadred Records. The presentation of the album Gentle Autopsy will be accompanied by an autumn tour, which, in addition to Slovak cities, also includes concerts in England and in the Prague club Palác Akropolis. For the first time ever, Nina's sound narration will be complemented by visuals at concerts, in the form of projection.
Last year's autumn tour with stops in Milan, Brighton and Budapest was preceded by a performance at the largest European showcase festival Eurosonicin the Netherlands, where Nina performed together with a string quintet. In his music, he combines the mysterious shades of old Slovak folklore, serious music and the freshness of dark electronics, with which he pushes the boundaries of musical obedience, leading a constant conversation between invasive horror and fragile purity.
