About event
Money circulation in the Czech lands in the first half of the 17th century significantly changed the influx of Dutch gold and silver trade coins. Silver tolars and gold ducats became, as in many other European countries, a common part of the payment system. What were the causes of this phenomenon, why did the Netherlands become "the mint of the world" and what are the differences between the individual denominations that penetrated into the Czech countries. Attention will be focused on these questions and topics during the lecture.
