Tryping to use Words (2025)-Bethan Morgan-Williamss voir? ” is one of the intriguing phrases in "Fidélité", the ominous work of Georges Aperghis for Harp and voice from the early eighties. In Fidélité, the harpist performs a quasi-psychotic, incomprehensible account of words and syllables that mix with the notes of the harp, a fog of sounds in which only occasionally a clear sentence can be distinguished. Is it a confession of a passionate murder? Or the account of an obsessional falling in love? Is the other on stage the subject of her madness, or just the one on which she projects everything? Who is whose prisoner, or are they both entangled in the spider of each other's fantasy?
Four composers each offer a musical reply on Fidélité in a new composition. Harpist Jenna Jenn forgynst and dancer/performer Myrthe Bokelmann joined each other into an intimate, captivating show. Get ready for an exciting and emotional trip.
