About event
REFLECTION OF POWER
As part of the nationwide initiative Night of Theaters 2025, the Košice Synagogue on Zvonárská Street will become a meeting place for contemporary author's theater. The dramaturgical concept of the evening is built on the contrast of two staging approaches, which are united by the common theme of the TITLE. We present two perspectives on the historical contexts of power and manipulation - from the mythological beginning to the satirical reflection of the social structures of the recent past.
18:00 - SEDEM / Author's production directed by guest creator Jakub Muranský. From Eve, through the first sin to the present to the future. It shows the stages of history, facing their own challenges and dangers that shape their direction.
8:00 PM – TRE PONTI / A theater fresco from our workshop asks questions. As an ancient Roman comedy, it reveals the dark corners of symbols of power, up to the recent past.
September 1, 1939 Germany invaded Poland
Atelier Bez StropU in cooperation with the Jozef Adamovič Conservatory and the Petr Dvorský Conservatory in Košice. Pupils and teachers of the School of Art Industry at Jakobyho 15 in Košice took part in the scenic tour.
Online admission is preferred: €3 (both shows included in the price)
At the venue: €3 for each show separately
Due to the nature of the space, we recommend warmer clothes - the shows last 50 minutes, with an hour break between them.
Our dramaturgical the intention is to present productions in a non-traditional format under a common denominator and to bring original theater to spaces that, with their unique atmosphere, enable theater to gain social urgency.
The project is supported by the city of Košice and Creative Industry,
ZSE Foundation and SPP Foundation
Thank you to ŽNO Košice for their hospitality
