The Pedagogical Secondary School in Modra has a 155 -year tradition. Its history dates back to 1870, when the Teaching Institute was founded in Modra. Originally located in the modest building of the Slovak Evangelical Grammar School. The new building for the Institute was built by the Gratzlova Construction Company from Bratislava in 1884–1887. Architecturally, the building is built in the style of historicism, typical of the second half of the 19th century. Over the years it has undergone several modifications and modernization, but has still retained its original character.

Face, 2025 Founded by Martin Plaštiak. Wild Kitchen is located in a historic building that originally served as a workshop for the production of barrels. Once a well -known box champion Ján Bakoš lived here. The new owners embarked on a demanding reconstruction of the house, which had problems with moisture. They restored the facade in a pale green tone that reflects the original findings and preserved plastic elements on the facade and shape of the cornice under the roof. Today, this historic house is not only a place with high -quality gastronomy, but also a living example of a successful renewal of a historical building with respect to its past. The house was awarded the BOD award for exemplary renewal in 2023.
