About event
✨❄️ On Thursday, November 28, 2024, we will once again draw attention to the acute problem of growing poverty in Slovakia by having a mass sleepover in the open air. Join us and express solidarity with the thousands of people who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes.
🔸 We want to clearly show that extreme poverty and homelessness are not just a marginal problem, but a societal crisis that requires a high degree of priority. The number of homeless people is growing alarmingly and more and more people find themselves on the verge of poverty.
🔸 Thousands of people in Slovakia cannot afford to provide themselves with full-value food, health care or decent housing. We often see that it is precisely the most vulnerable groups of the population who have the greatest difficulty in getting the necessary help from the state. We invite you to send a clear message with us on Thursday, November 28, 2024: the fight against extreme poverty must be a state priority!
🔸 For every participant who decides to sleep in the open on Thursday, November 28, the partner of the event - Slovenská Sporiteľňa donates 10 euros to help homeless people.
🔸 Program:
🔸 20:00 - Discussion - Homeless people: Solutions and reality
Discussants: Oasis - hope for a new life: Peter Gombita, Štefan Mydlár, Štefan Zuberník, DEDO Foundation: Alena Vachnová
🔸22 :00 - Screening of the movie Mallory with Cinema Úsmev
🔸7:30 am - Breakfast
