About event
Night prayers belong to the line of temple concerts, in which the ensemble brings contemporary spiritual music to the appropriate premises for fifteen years. Several world and Czech premieres were heard in this dramaturgical line - today's program is no exception. It meets deeply catharsis music with meditative works: the world premiere of Brno's author Pavel Zemek Novák, a contemplative and eponymous work of Georgian composer Giji Kančeli and the conclusion of the catarous dramatic composition of the Slovak composer Roman Berger.
It will take place under the baton of Gabriela Tardonová and with soloists Dominika Kvardová and Jiří Mráz on the return of the ensemble to the beautiful premises of the Blahoslavané Marie Restituta in Brno Lesná. In this sense, the program fits into the long-term efforts of the ensemble to bring new, rediscovered and search for contexts in less operated. Unison with consonant intervals for harp and chamber ensemble (2025) premiere
Gija Kančeli: Night Prayers for soprano saxophone, loop and record (1992) Czech premiere
Roman Berger: post scriptum for loops (2004)
Harfa
Jiří Mráz - soprano saxophon
