About event
Join the cute workshop and turn your stuffed animal into a loud and wild sound instrument. A fun way to learn the basics of making electronic instruments. The workshop will be conducted by sound experimenter and designer Martí Guillem in English.
Join us for a cute DIY electronics workshop and transform your flush soft toy or puppet into an incredibly noisy and bizarre sound device! A fun and unique experience as an intro into DIY sounding circuits.
What is a circuit? How to use electronic components?
What can we do with them? Resistors? Condensers, LEDs, switches, potentiometers, diodes...? Body contacts? Let's discuss what sound and noise are as well as other related topics like amplification, resonance, feedback or distortion. Explore different types of interactions and interfaces. Find new creative ways. Learn how to make your own instruments. Play with different possible designs. Have fun with sound and DIY electronics! Give an old toy a new noisy life, create a lovely stuffed little monster!
Open to anyone who is interested in sound and learning by doing.

MARTÍ GUILLEM-CÍSCAR
Heterodox artist, who manipulates electronic devices, sounds, images, videos, actions and objects, so they often become unusual and unique . Improvisation, experimentation and DIY (do it yourself), are combined, irreverently but reflexively, mostly in ephemeral proposals. It is characterized by a fresh and ever-changing language that reflects on the social habits and the relationship between creativity and everyday life. He has collaborated with many artists such as dancers, visual artists and performers, and played music and improvised sound with different groups and musicians. His solo works are focused on constant expansion and learning. Marti seems convinced that 'the mystery' lies before us, and he shows it to us. His creative discoveries tell us in some way, that 'we can start from here something that will take us very far. The pleasure he experiences is perceived and feels almost like an act of generosity that invites you to attend. Marti is a founding member of the NVCLI platform. Makes workshops about sound related topics, Marti shared his work in countless performances and concerts in all kinds of cultural and social contexts.

TRIGGER CHANGE
We encourage everyone to think about the systems of power and stereotypes not only in the field of music and music technology but in the learning process in general and to be considerate and respectful.
