Historical tour: From the crematorium to Cultural Quarter

The former Berlin-Wedding crematorium is one of the listed buildings in Berlin and reflects the city's history in a unique way. Built between 1909 and 1910 as the city's first crematorium, the building has been a testament to the change in funeral culture in Germany for over a century. When the empty building was advertised for sale by the Berlin Senate, silent green was awarded the contract at the beginning of 2013. After a comprehensive renovation by silent green (2013–2015), in close cooperation with the Berlin monument protection agency, the independent project has found its home here.

The meeting point is in front of the cast-iron gate to the inner courtyard.

The tour also takes place outside. Unfortunately, the area is not completely barrier-free!
