About event
The New Slovak Music Festival enters its 33rd year with a range of events in Bratislava, Košice and Žilina.
The six concerts between November 7 and 20, 2025 will feature larger vocal-instrumental works, concert pieces featuring renowned soloists such as Milan Paľa, Roman Patkoló and Branislav Dugovič, as well as compositions for string quartet and various chamber ensembles. The festival will present the music of nearly three dozen female and male Slovak composers in domestic or world premieres.
In addition to the State Philharmonic of Košice and the State Chamber Orchestra of Žilina, its traditional guests will be the Slovak Philharmonic and the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovak Radio, two chamber concerts will cover ensembles with many years of experience in the field of contemporary music, the Mucha Quartet and EnsembleSpectrum.
