Nyiri Péter: Jókai Mór otthonai – hit, haza, közösség és anyanyelv

On the occasion of the Jókai Memorial Year, Literary historian Péter Nyiri's life and work will be brought to light in a new illumination. At the center of the performance is the homes that have shaped the identity of Jókai: faith, home, community and mother tongue. What spaces did Jókai call "home"? How did they appear in the works of the concepts and in their public life roles? The lecture seeks answers to these questions, bringing one of the greatest Hungarian writers of the 19th century to the 21st century audience. The lecturer is Jókai researcher and the director of the PIM - the Museum of the Hungarian Language.
